And so, we did it! Took that leap of faith and launched the website! Saturday 11th was our first day of business, and since then we have had our first lot of orders. I am so grateful for everyone that has come together to support me in my little business venture. Whether that’s through sales, through sharing my posts, following our social media and simply engaging with our posts.
What have I learnt so far?
There will always be teething problems. The first day of having the website published, there were a couple of things that I couldn’t really figure out. I’m not very technologically minded… But I went home, sat down with my site, and figured out what I needed to edit. Now, everything is running as smoothly as can be, and I am super happy with how things have been going the past 4 days.
Below is a photo of myself and my 10 month puppy, Nellie. She was born deaf, and I have had her since 8 weeks old. Her and my older dog, Honey, are both Bull Breeds, and I have noticed that often, larger breed dogs are left un-catered for in the world of dog accessories and apparel. I wanted to create a brand that represents all breeds, large and small, whilst simultaneously highlighting the beauty of our small town, and everything around it.
Voted ‘The Happiest Place to Live’ in Britain in both 2016 and 2018, the sense of community in this small fishing town is huge, and I designed my summer collection to reflect that. From nautical themed rope leads, to jellyfish and sailing boat print bandanas, the summer collection pays homage to the heritage of Leigh on Sea.
Here’s to the next few weeks of being a new business!
